Gorton's Smart & Crunchy Review & Giveaway

To try this new line of Gorton's Fish was fun.  I'm a huge fan of fish tacos, love them!  I thought the Gorton's Smart & Crunchy would be perfect for tacos.  I really dislike greasy, soggy tacos.  I was really impressed with how my fish tacos turned out.

There was literally no grease or oil after baking them in the oven!  My kids enjoy eating fish sticks for dinner, it is one of our quick, go-to dinner items when we have other activities to get to.  Now I can feel better about making them with Gorton's Smart & Crunchy!  There are tons of recipes on Gorton's site and this is the one I'm going to try next!

As you can see, no grease!
Here are the facts about Gorton's Smart & Crunchy:

*They have 50% less fat than Gorton's regular fish sticks and are 180 calories per serving
*Made with 100% wild-caught Alaska Pollock
*Breaded in a tasty panko breadcrumb that gives a great crunch
*Gorton's entire line has no artificial flavors and no MSG

Have you tried Gorton's Smart & Crunchy?  You can connect with them on social media on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest.  There is also a printable coupon here.  Plus, they are giving away the prize pack shown below!  The prize includes two free product coupons, branded Mommy/Daddy and me aprons, and a Smarty Crunchman plush!  Enter below!

Vanilla Mint Deodorant Creme Review + Giveaway #LoveYourBody

Unhealthy chemicals are everywhere now-a-days.  In our food, beauty products, and personal hygiene items.  I have been trying to find ways to cut down on my family's chemical intake so we can live healthier lives.  A task that is fairly challenging.

The idea of chemical free deodorant intrigued me and made me nervous at the same time.  Deodorants generally sold in stores have chemicals that have been linked to breast cancer and alzheimer's.  I desperately want to be completely chemical free, but deodorant is serious business!  I have recently rejoined the workforce, you know, outside of my home.  I have been putting off even trying the natural deodorant because I'm afraid of stinking.  When I got the chance to test and review the Bella Organics Vanilla Mint Deodorant Creme I took it!  Since we have been having more chilly days than warm ones recently it made me feel a bit more confident to try it.

I received a small jar of the Deodorant Creme, it smells great!  The package also came with a little informative instruction sheet.  I learned a lot from that sheet of paper.  For example, it is recommended that you exfoliate your arm pits!  Why?  Well, apparently your pits go through a detoxing period which is helped along by the exfoliating. The detoxing process is said to take anywhere from 4-15 days.   I used a salt scrub for my exfoliating, but you can use a loofa or dry brush.

I don't particularly like putting deodorant on with my fingers, but it wasn't greasy and came off easily after application.  In my opinion the Bella Organics Natural Deodorant works well.  I didn't think I smelled bad at all and I kept sniffing myself (I'm not ashamed.)  They offer other scents as well as the Vanilla Mint.  If you are new to chemical free deodorant, or have been using it, I would recommend giving this brand a try!  Plus you have the chance to win one now!  Enter the giveaway below!

Slow Cooker Recipes Cookbook for Beginners Review + Giveaway

I was given the opportunity to review the Slow Cooker Recipes for Beginners cookbook.  I received the Kindle version, but there is also a hard copy you can get.

This starter slow cooker cook book has over 50 recipes within the 6 chapters; including Appetizers and Sides, Soups and Stews, Meats, Vegetarian, Sides, and Desserts.   I was really impressed with the variety I found in this book.  One of the recipes I cannot wait to try is the Cream of Mushroom soup! There is a local Columbian restaurant that we go to that serves the best cream of mushroom soup and I'm hoping to find an at home version to make.

Its great that there is a vegetarian section in the book too, we try to eat vegetarian at least twice a week.  Plus, slow cooker recipes are great for busy families.  You can start it in the morning or afternoon and it is done by dinner time with minimal work!

The recipes in this book go from needing just a few ingredients up to needing lots of ingredients, so depending on how much time and how in-depth you want to get you should be able to find something.  You can enter to win your own copy of this awesome cookbook below!

WashGuard - Lingerie Bags for Laundry Review + Giveaway

I have never see a lingerie bag like this before.  Usually the bags I see in the store are made with a mesh-type fabric that easily tangles bra hooks.  But, this WashGuard bag has a very fine mesh, that does not allow anything to get tangled in it.

The zipper is easily hid under a little elastic piece, so you don't have to worry about it unzipping while it is in the wash.

I received the small WashGuard, I have used it several times for a variety of items; such as panties, stockings, tights, bras, fashion scarves, and a winter scarf (that my aunt made).  I found this lingerie bag to be superior to any other that I have used before.

You can purchase these great bags directly from Amazon, but you can also enter to win one from my blog!  Just follow the steps in the Rafflecopter below.
