Braun Forehead Thermometer-Product Review

I am always looking for the best thermometer for taking my kids' temperatures.  Which type is the best?  I have even asked the nurse at our pediatricians office, they use a forehead thermometer.  We have gone through regular digital thermometers (you know the ones that you can use rectally, under arm, or under the tongue?) and ear thermometers.  I haven't really been happy with any of them nor could I put much faith in the fact that they were accurate.

Needless to say, when I found out I was receiving the Braun Forehead Thermometer from Influenster, to test at no charge, I was thrilled.  The Braun forehead thermometer is really easy to use, I didn't even have to read the directions (not that I'm encouraging that.)  My whole family lined up to test it out.  Thankfully none of us are sick right now.

To begin using the thermometer you remove the cover from the temperature taking end and push the power button.  Wait for the thermometer to turn on and beep once, showing double zeros on the light-up screen.  Then there is a button that shows a picture of a thermometer, push that and hold it in.  Place the thermometer on a temple and run it across your forehead and back again, ending on the temple you started on.  The thermometer will beep repeatedly while you are doing this step, once you reach the end of the route there will be a long beep indicating it is finished.  A great thing about this temperature apparatus is that the screen changes color to show you if there is a fever.

The Braun forehead thermometer is super easy to use and fast.  I can take my kids' temperature while they are sleeping and they are not really bothered like they are when I am trying to put a stick under their arm.  Plus, they like having their temperature taken, they think it's fun.

Meaningful Beauty Crème de Serum Review

When I use the product I only need to push the pump down, completely, one time.  That gives me enough of the serum to cover my whole face.

You can see how the serum is dispensed, the components in the bottle kind of swirl together.  It has a scent that is flowery, but not very strong which is nice since I don't like an overbearing flower scent in my products.  The texture of the product is smooth and creamy-not sticky at all.  

My skin is excessively dry during these cold months and the Meaningful Beauty Creme de Serum does a great job at moisturizing my face while working.  It uses a triple approach to combat the signs of aging with three anti-aging ingredients.  Those include superantioxidant melon complex, anti-aging peptides, and hyaluronic acid that help increase hydration, protect, and prevent the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Influenster Makeover

Have you heard of Influenster?  It is a great site that allows trendsetters and tastemakers to come together in an exclusive online community and connect with brands and products.  Active members get exclusive access to deals, promotions, and swag from brands that look for input from consumers-whether positive, negative, or in between.  Recently Influenster has done a facelift on their site and added some new and improved features.

The first thing I notice when I go to the Influenster site is my overall score, which is currently 86.  Not too shabby, I think.  I have also gotten some expert badges, five total so far, because I have to work to unlock more.  My average scores for these Expert Badges range from 53-67 and can increase if I participate or initiate some online content.  There is a Plan of Attack section under the profile that, I assume will help me increase my score if I do some of the items on the list.

Overall I enjoy the changes on the Influenster site.  The one thing I would like is to have more Expert Badges.  When I selected my badges I didn't realize there was a limit of five since there was not limit on the old version of the site.  Other than that, they did a great job updating their site to help give a well-rounded picture of my online influence.        

imPRESS Press On Manicure

I am a member of Influenster and I received these imPRESS nails for free to test.  They are from Broadway Nails which also makes Kiss Nail Dress.  So, I bet you are wondering what I thought about them?  Well, initially I liked them.  The whole idea of being able to have a "manicure" with out going to a salon because I am a mom of three kids and don't have the time for that, plus there is no chemicals.  Plus I like their packaging, they come in a fake nail polish bottle, which I think is genius.

So, I put them on and they looked really nice, I got a purple color.  Unfortunately for me I had to do dishes.  I think this weakened the stickiness of the nails.  I felt like they could fall off very easily and by the next day one had fallen off and I never found it.  Then the rest slowly began coming off.

Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookies

My family loves Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookies.  We have had them before I got the sample from Influester, and my two youngest really enjoy them.  I can't say I am unhappy about that since they are made with whole grain Quaker oats, provide a good source of fiber, and contain 6 grams of total fat per serving.  There are other varieties; Apple Cinnamon, Banana Nut, and Cranberry and Yogurt.  However we have yet to try any besides the Oatmeal Raisin because the raisins are moist and the cookie is soft we love them.

Kiss Nail Dress, Fashion that Sticks!

I got a set of these Kiss Nail Dress from Influenster in my Love VoxBox.  I only tried the set out on my toes because I didn't like the pattern I got.  They are super easy to use and last quite a long time!  I have been wearing them for about two weeks, I think and they are just now starting to fade at the tips.  I doubt they would last as long on the finger nails because of washing hands etc.  I don't really like the animal print that I got, but I am totally going to buy one of the other styles though!

Gillette Venus & Olay Razor Marriage Made in Heaven!

I got the Gillette Venus & Olay Razor as part of my Love VoxBox from Influenster...  Let me say I love it!  The fact that I don't have to use any shaving cream is wonderful!  It left my legs smooth and silky!  I will be getting my daughter one of these very soon.  She cuts herself almost every time she shaves, somehow...  I am hopeful that this Gillette Venus & Olay Razor will be a cure for that!  :-)
