What is a Healthy Baby Home Party? 

Seventh Generation's home parties are powered by people like you who are focused on creating a healthy environment for the next generation. Developed with input from non-profit partner, Healthy Child Healthy World, they are a great way to get together with friends, share helpful information, and make an impact!

Healthy Baby Home Party kits are provided to all selected hosts and are filled with educational info about our environment, helpful tips, a fun game, and samples and coupons from Seventh Generation and other favorite family-friendly brands like bobble, Plum Organics and Zarbee's Naturals.

What is the Application Process?

• Sign up at generationgood to join the Generation Good community, or log in if already a member.
• Accept the Healthy Baby Home Party Application offer on your Generation Good dashboard and complete the application.
• Applicants will be notified by end of March if they have been selected to host a party, via an email to the email address assigned to their Generation Good member profile.
• All selected applicants will then need to confirm their participation by accepting the Healthy Baby Home Party Mission in Generation Good and confirming their shipping address.
• 1,900 FREE Party Kits will be distributed in this round.
• Hosting spots are open to US residents only at this time. Canadian parties are planned for later in 2016!

Disney Side Party Delay

Well, I was chosen to host a #DisneySide party back in February.  I was/am very excited about being picked.  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do what I originally planned-which was a Valentine #DisneySide party for my youngest daughter's class.  Why? Because she got pneumonia and totally missed Valentine's Day at school because she was in the hospital.

We were both really bummed about not being able to host the party with her class, but her health is obviously far more important than anything.  So, we put it off because between snow days and her illness she was out of school for almost the entire month of February!  We debated about just doing a little party at home, but decided it would be much more fun to include her classmates.  We are trying to work out the details with her teacher.

We did, however, make our tie-dyed cake, due to a nut allergy in her class I couldn't have used it for our #DisneySide party anyway.  It turned out really well, and my kids loved how colorful it was.  You can check out the finished product on my Instagram.

Fun Homemade Valentines

Valentine's Day is just about 10 days away.  Do you have kids that exchange valentines at school?  My two youngest kids are in elementary school, so they both exchange valentines with classmates.  We are required to give one to each kid.  I don't mind that. But, this year I'm pretty sure my son is going to give me a hard time with that.  You see, he and his best friend have been having some issues with one of their classmates.  Never the less, we will do a valentine for each child.

A few years ago we made these cute "Love Bug" valentines for my son's class.  This was before my youngest daughter was in school.

 I bought a 24 pack of mini canvass, a red ink pad, and black permanent marker.  We started by making the bugs with 2 thumb prints, we did that on all of the valentines and waited for them to dry.   Then we drew little antenna and faces on each bug.  Once that was dry my son wrote his name on each one.  They were a big hit!

Last year one of my friends posted a craft idea for heart shaped crayons that she was doing for her son's preschool class.  I loved it! You can see that here.  I went in search of molds that I could use to make my own.  I couldn't find anything like it, but got a chocolate silicone mold that was really pretty.  I just put broken crayons in various colors in each mold.  I heated them up in the microwave because of the fact that my mold was silicone.  I kept checking on them at minute increments.  I used tooth pick to pop any bubbles that came up.

I love the pattern!

I added these crayons to goodie bags for both of my youngest kids'  classes since I didn't think they would stick to a valentine.
